Iraheta, 17, who was the only woman among the final four contestants as the show heads toward its climax, said she was proud of the decision to sing the Janis Joplin song “Cry Baby” in this week’s rock-themed show.

“I really do not regret doing that song…It’s about me just feeling it and enjoying what I was doing, and having fun,” she told journalists in a conference call.

“Idol” judges told the red-haired teen she should have chosen another song. They have also been lukewarm about her rock-inspired outfits during the competition despite unanimous praise for her vocal talents.

“I liked the fact that they said I was very different. I stayed true to myself,” she said. “There was a lot of risks I took in terms of dress etc…Being in the bottom three a few times did not make me change anything. But I feel like I did pretty good and I am pretty proud of myself.”

Iraheta won’t be heading back to regular school. The Los Angeles singer has been home-schooled for years and had a tutor provided by “Idol” producers during the TV show. “I’m almost done with school pretty much,” she said.

Iraheta’s elimination leaves Kris Allen, Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert in the running for the “American Idol” 2009 title, which will be decided in the two-part finale on May 19 and 20.

With his relationship with Angelina Jolie reportedly at breaking point, Brad Pitt has apparently found an unlikely source of comfort – his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

According to a new report, the former spouses have been in constant contact in recent weeks, culminating in a secret meeting in New York on April 23.

It’s claimed that Brad visited Angelina on the set of Salt before heading across town to the set of Jen’s upcoming movie The Baster, which is also currently filming in the Big Apple.

In Touch quotes ‘a mutual friend of the former couple’ who says: “He pulled up in his black SUV.

“He arrived on the opposite end of the set from where Jen’s trailer was, and Jen snuck into his car. They drove around New York City together, talking.”

“Brad confessed his feelings to Jen. He told her that he is trying to make his relationship with Angelina work, but it is failing.” 

The reunion-to-go reportedly lasted an hour, with Brad dropping Jen off at The Greenwich Hotel when it was over.

The source adds: “They had to plan it meticulously so no one would find out.”

The report also claims Brad is currently wearing a necklace his ex-wife gave him for his 45th birthday last December.

Needless to say, Jen’s rep denies all of the above!

NEW YORK (AP) — Rihanna is back — on the red carpet, at least. The pop singer arrived Monday at the annual Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum gala in New York. It was her first such appearance since then-boyfriend Chris Brown allegedly beat her in February.

Rihanna arrived in black — including both the SUV and her Dolce and Gabbana suit and bow tie. She was the last celebrity to walk the carpet and did not speak with press.

“Vogue” editor Anna Wintour once again hosted the gala, which this year served as the kickoff to “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” exhibit. Kate Moss co-chaired the event with Justin Timberlake.

Guests included Madonna, Victoria Beckham and designer Stella McCartney with her muses: Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler.

A 20-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after storming the stage during a Britney Spears concert in Connecticut.

Kyle King jumped on stage on Saturday night (May 2) during Spears’ performance of her hit song ‘Womanizer’ at the Mohegan Sun Arena and attempted to dance with the pop star, before being dragged off stage by her dancers and security.

King was arrested for breach of peace, reports TMZ, and was reportedly ‘uncooperative’ with police, earning him a booking for that, too. 

He was released yesterday (May 3) after posting $250 bond.

King is due to appear in Norwich Superior Court on June 18.

The 23-year-old dueling piano player from Kalamazoo, Mich., was rescued by the show’s judges two weeks ago. But on Wednesday it was revealed that he received the fewest viewer votes on the Fox singing competition — just beneath this season’s most formidable front-runner.

“I’ll definitely remember being the cat with nine lives up here,” Giraud said after his dismissal.

At the start of the show, host Ryan Seacrest split the finalists: Giraud and Kris Allen on one side, Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta on the other. Seacrest then allowed seemingly unstoppable Adam Lambert to choose which group he belonged in. Lambert picked Gokey and Iraheta, but Seacrest dropped a bomb: Lambert was in the bottom three with Giraud and Allen.

“My mouth went open again,” said judge Kara DioGuardi. “That’s what happens with Adam.”

On Monday night in New York city at the 36th annual Film Society of Lincoln Center Gala Tribute ,Julia Roberts kept her tribute brief, where Oscar winner Tom Hanks was presented the new Chaplin Award.

Julia Roberts said Hanks that “everyone likes you.”

Only Roberts added an expletive before “likes.” And the crowd roared with laughter.

Assessing Hanks 2004 movie “The Terminal,” in which he played an Eastern European trapped in Immigration at J.F.K., Roberts said, “That movie about you and the airport and the accent was a pass for me. Airport? Were you just an immigrant lost? I didn’t know. I love you, but I didn’t know that I’m wearing the same [expletive] dress tonight as your publicist.”

As luck would have it, Roberts and the publicist both opted for a cream dress by Dolce & Gabbana.

When it was his turn at the podium, Hanks told the black-tie crowd that Roberts has so much clout that the big story of the evening would be: “Julia Roberts wears same dress as publicist.”

After a bit of a onstage dustup during the Pussycat Dolls’ Friday night gig in Phoenix, no less than Britney Spears herself — for whom the Dolls are opening on the current tour acted as a mediator.

Business comes first. You can hate each other off-stage, but make it work on stage, a very reliable Spears source quoted Britney as saying.

Things are increasingly tense between the Dolls. Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger has been looking like she’s poised to go solo, and other members of the group are unhappy about recent singles released as The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger.

It’s like a modern version of the old Diana Ross and the Supremes thing, said a music industry insider Sunday.

 At Friday’s concert, things got testy when the Dolls’ Melody Thornton thanked the crowd in her Phoenix hometown for supporting her, even though I’m not featured ! Spears thought that led to a ”downer effect” on the rest of the Dolls set, and a negative lead-in to her own set, the Britney buddy said.

We’ll get a chance on Tuesday to see this up close and whether Spears’ lecture had any effect when the tour arrives for two gigs at the Allstate Arena.

London, April 14 (IANS) Hollywood actress Keira Knightley is unhappy with social networking sites and says she finds Internet ‘dehumanising’.

‘I hate Internet. I find it dehumanising to constantly check e-mails or social sites which have become so fashionable,’ femalefirst.co.uk quoted Knightley as saying.

The 24-year-old actress also dislikes the celebrity tag associated with her.

‘I’m not a celebrity. I do not go home or out with my friends saying, ‘I’m a celebrity’, and I don’t ask to be treated like a queen. My parents would not like that,’ Knightley said.
